Zygambella phosphophila S.Nagalakshmi and A.Subrahm, Gen. & Sp. Nov. is described. It resembles Rhizopodopsis in having umbellate sporangiophores but differs from it in thestructure of zygospores, which are similar to those found in Zygorhynchus. Morphological and culture characters of Phosphophila are presented.
